Compare Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG 12, 20 & 36mm Tubes for Canon EOS Digital and Film Cameras vs Canon Extension Tube EF 25 II vs Canon Extension Tube EF 12 II vs Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG 12, 20 & 36mm Tubes for Nikon Digital and Film Cameras

I think TS-E lens works with Canon Extension Tubes EF 12 II and EF 25 II, you need to be very careful about adding the Canon Extender 1.4 III as it does have glass (EF 25 II)should be safer bet, but check the physical on the extender and extenstion tube).

lordv, i'm little confused here with "auto tubes" how different is it with extension tubes ? Due to limited budget, i am considering either canon EF 25 II Extension Tube or Kenko Auto Extension Tube set DG EF-S. which is the right one to go with my 50mm f1.8 (which might be upgraded to 50mm f1.4 later) ? thanks.
Testing the Canon Extension Tube EF25 II Canon EOS 6D DSLR / EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM lens. An extension tube is a cost-effective hollow tube that increase magnification of subject / decrease minimum focus distance between lens and subject. It does not replace a macro lens, but works well for bringing smaller subjects closer.
If you happen to get hold of them, these original EF extension tubes cannot be used with EF-S lenses, but since they have no optical elements they will work with the same EF lenses as the Mark II tubes. The Canon EF12 II and EF25 II Extension Tubes are not compatible with the following lenses: • EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye (now discontinued) • EF . 465 591 922 441 216 205 312 943
