There’s really no telling, there hasn’t really been a precedent set either way. Some older titles get updates and others don’t. It’s most likely a case by case basis. Plus the full control of something like this rests more on WB than any company like Microsoft and Sony. Personally I would love to play Arkham Knight at true 4k and 60fps.
I got Xbox Series X. Arkham Knight is 900p and 30FPS on XSX. 30FPS is not a big issue, I'm not a 60FPS fanatic. But 900p image on 4K 55" TV is very blurry. Still, even it is not a big issue. The real issue is "rain" and "neon / light" effects. Constant rain and hight contast light / dark areas, makes the game very very hard to play on 4K Tvs not gonna happen, Knight runs on Unreal Engine 3, actually it's one of the last games to release on that engine, Rocksteady been moved on to Unreal 4, they're not going back to another engine and port it to a new platform or port the whole game to a new engine, that would mess up the feel of the game anyway like the Return to Arkham games, or even the recent Spiderman Remaster which was doneAs a PS5 Arkham player too, all games are capped at 30 fps. Asylum might be higher as it does feel way smoother than City, and if u own Return to Arkham City disc version and don't download the update it is at 60 fps.
I don't care if its exactly the same game outside of RTX additions, I just want a version of the game that fixes the bad coding/frametime spikes that stop it from running properly at 60fps in all situations (gliding, driving batmobile and cutscenes). If I cap to 30fps then its 99% locked even at 4K, but I can't keep 60fps all the time even at
